Register an Aadhaar Unique ID Card, UID Number in India
The unique number will be store basic demographics information (gender, date of birth, parents’ name, address) and biometric information (photograph, ten fingerprints and iris) of each individual in a centralised database maintained by the Unique IDentity Authority of India (UIDAI).
Aadhaar number will replace all the identity proof documents including voters ID, ration card, PAN card, driving license etc.
The Unique ID project dubbed “Aadhaar” was launched in the tribal village, Tembhli, in Nandurbar district, Maharashtra on 29th September, 2010. The project was launched by Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh along with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Rajana Sonawane, Tembhli village, was first resident to receive an Aadhaar number.

How to register an Aadhaar Unique ID Card?
Residents need to go to the nearest Enrolment Camp with certain documents (specified in the media advertisement) to register for an Aadhaar
Residents need to provide photograph and biometric scanning of ten fingerprints and eye impressions (Iris Scan)
Enrolling agency give an enrolment number upon completion
Residents will be issued an Aadhaar number within 20 to 30 days of registration date

Studies have suggested that the lycopene found in tomatoes may reduce risk of colorectal cancer, lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease; the leading cause of death in men. Research has also shown that men who frequently eat foods rich in lycopene may drastically reduce their risk of developing prostate cancer.

Bajaj Auto launches ultra-low-cost car RE 60
Bajaj Auto Ltd launched its first-ever four-wheeled vehicle, saying the RE60 would target commercial users and three-wheeled vehicle owners in India.
The unveiling of the four-seater RE60 ended months of rumours that have buzzed around India's auto industry on the nature of the vehicle, which promises low carbon emissions and fuel efficiency, the company said in a much-anticipated launch.
The vehicle resembles an over-sized hatchback with an elevated roof.
France's Renault SA and Japan's Nissan Motor Co, who worked with Bajaj on developing what was slated to be an ultra low-cost minicar, will decide on co-operation on the RE60 in the next few days, Bajaj Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj said.Bajaj Auto Ltd launched its first-ever four-wheeled vehicle, saying the RE60 would target commercial users and three-wheeled vehicle owners in India, and that production could involve Nissan and Renault.
